About The RoleAs a member of the Marketplace Operations team for Uber Shuttle, you will use data to solve business problems. How can you get a rider from point A to point B as seamlessly and on time, every time? How can you help a driver to be in the right place at the right time and how do we set up the HCV marketplace to ensure smooth interactions between riders and drivers? These are the sorts of problems you will solve. You will do this by analyzing complex issues, developing practical solutions, and communicating your insights to our business leaders.This role requires someone who can develop clear hypotheses, develop a work plan, and bring analytical rigor to test and iterate on solving the problem. You will need to have a bias to action and adopt a consultative and iterative approach to solving problems - big and small.You will work closely with the Central Marketplace Operations Lead and collaborate with teams across Regional Ops, Analytics, and Product teams to ensure alignment and mutual assistance in achieving our objectives.What You'll Do Contribute to the development and execution of the marketplace strategy Optimize our business performance, detect opportunities & issues, and propose improvements that will have a material impact. Support new market launches Maintain & optimize marketplace configurations to ensure smooth operations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and monitor their impact. Measure and understand deeply the performance of the marketplace and run "real world" tests & experiments. Be a self-starter and take the initiative to solve new problems as they arise. We're a new business and there's a lot that we don't know. What You'll Need: Min 2 years of relevant experience in a high pace, data driven business (e.g. Tech start-up/scale-up, Management Consulting, Investment Banking etc.) Proficient in identifying problems, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing practical solutions Comfortable with analytically heavy topics: SQL ability required Exceptional partner management skills, adept at fostering relationships and collaborating across teams. Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey changes and updates Experience in project management, demonstrating the ability to lead initiatives to successful completion. Python Proficiency is an added advantage
