Role Purpose:

 

As a pivotal member of the Human Capital team, The role is dedicated to driving forward the HC agenda, providing timely support to the Shopping Mall Business Unit (SMBU) in West Region on the company’s HC strategies, policies, processes and procedures and ensuring that the highest level of HC support services is provided to management and employees in the most transparent, cost effective and timely manner in line with overall MAFP’s objectives.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure that the organization charts & system data are up to date at all times and records are maintained for tracking and audit purposes, provide inputs, to functions head, if any structural changes are required to meet the changing business needs of the organization.
  • Provide inputs for manpower budget planning estimate including new positions for hiring in conjunction with related function heads.
  • Participate in the annual workforce planning and budgeting exercise for assigned functions based on the business plan.
  • Develop & support with the implementation of WR Employee Engagement Strategy agenda including events planning, functional workshops facilitation, onboarding, internal communication, external initiatives as well as ensuring action plans are in place.
  • Ensure the timely manner of the recruitment and selection process for approved vacant positions for SMBU WR and the assigned functions and in accordance with the prescribed HC policies and procedures and approved manpower budget.
  • Ensure that all staff related services are provided on a timely basis and with the highest of standards, managing employment contracts of new hires, & for existing employees & ensure that they are in compliance with the MAFPs HC policies and procedures and Labour Law
  • Implement and monitor the execution of the annual performance appraisal system and ensure that the PMS timelines and process of evaluation is adhered at all levels.
  • Work closely with all Functional Heads / Managers to effectively identify key training and development needs of their respective department personnel.
  • Manage employee relations, consults with line management & provide HC guidance, and act as a main point of contact in resolving issues and disputes that arise during the course of employment.
  • Coordinate with the Payroll function in providing timely information on all necessary changes, adjustments, including & not limited to; addition of new employees, resignations, overtime payments, running final settlements, issuing letters upon employee’s requests, leaves etc.
  • Be the advocate and ambassador of aligning and cascading the MAFP values & catalyzing culture practices at all times.

 

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ progressive experience in managing all HC disciplines in a reputed company, preferably Retail / Real Estate with 2 – 3 years on a managerial position.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / HC or equivalent. Certification such as CIPD / SHRM is highly desirable
