Procurement Supervisor

Job Overview: As a Procurement Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement team, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency of our procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate the procurement team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and agreements to secure favorable terms.
    • Evaluate vendor performance regularly and address issues to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Procurement Strategy:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and efficiency gains in procurement activities.
  • Contract Negotiation:
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and in compliance with company policies.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee the delivery of high-quality goods and services.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage and optimize the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and emerging suppliers.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 5-10 in procurement, with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
