Job Objective:
As an SPM Buoy Installation & Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the installation and commissioning activities of SPM Buoys, ensuring the successful implementation and operation of these complex offshore systems. Your role will involve coordinating with various teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of installation and commissioning processes while adhering to quality, safety, and schedule requirements specific to SPM Buoys. You will utilize your expertise in project management, technical knowledge of SPM Buoy systems, and industry standards to deliver high-quality installations and commissioning within the designated timeframes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution for SPM Buoy Installation & Commissioning:
- Develop comprehensive installation and commissioning plans for SPM Buoy projects, considering project scope, timelines, and resource requirements specific to SPM Buoys.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with SPM Buoy project objectives.
- Review technical specifications and documentation to ensure the proper installation and commissioning of SPM Buoy systems.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to optimize installation and commissioning processes and ensure technical requirements are met.
- Monitor and control project budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource allocation for SPM Buoy installation and commissioning activities.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures specific to SPM Buoy installation and commissioning to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management for SPM Buoy Installation & Commissioning:
- Identify and select suitable suppliers and subcontractors for SPM Buoy installation and commissioning activities.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services specific to SPM Buoy systems.
- Review subcontractor proposals, contracts, and deliverables to ensure alignment with SPM Buoy project requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings and site visits with subcontractors to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to SPM Buoy project specifications.
Installation and Commissioning Process and Resource Management for SPM Buoys:
- Oversee the installation and commissioning process for SPM Buoys, ensuring compliance with approved designs, industry standards, and quality requirements.
- Manage and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity during SPM Buoy installation and commissioning.
- Collaborate with installation and commissioning teams to develop and implement methodologies, workflows, and best practices specific to SPM Buoy systems.
- Monitor and track installation and commissioning progress for SPM Buoys, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the installation and commissioning process of SPM Buoys.
Testing and troubleshooting for SPM Buoy Systems:
- Coordinate and oversee the testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure proper functionality and performance of SPM Buoy systems.
- Develop test plans and procedures, working closely with engineering teams to validate the performance of SPM Buoy systems.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate corrective measures for SPM Buoy systems.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting activities to address any technical issues or malfunctions during SPM Buoy installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate with installation teams to provide necessary support and ensure alignment with fabrication specifications of SPM Buoys.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify compliance with installation plans and industry standards specific to SPM Buoy fabrication.
Documentation and Reporting for SPM Buoy Installation & Commissioning:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including installation and commissioning plans, reports, test results, and quality control records specific to SPM Buoy systems.
- Prepare regular status reports and provide updates to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies related to SPM Buoy installation and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all documentation and reporting activities for SPM Buoy installation and commissioning.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering) is preferred., or a related field is preferred.
- Draw up the programs for precommissioning and commissioning and report to Project Manager in order to prepare the delivery and mechanical completion of the Buoy.
- Checks the acceptance criteria defined by Client and detailed requirements by Contract specification and advises Project Manager.
- Prepare detailed instructions for precommissioning and commissioning in co-ordination with Vendors, Project Manager and Client.
- Perform periodic reports on the progress of the Precommissioning and Commissioning and attend co-ordination meetings with Subcontractors and Vendors to deal with any matters.
- Accept and sign Mechanical Completion Acceptance Certificates from construction to commissioning.
- Prepare all concerning certificates at the end of the Precommissioning, Commissioning and all performance tests to be signed by the Client.
- Responsible for organizing with Client the walkthrough planning and the Punch List generation.
- Supervision of punch list items for its closure by the Construction and/or Commissioning Team.
- Previous experience in design engineering or drafting for SPM Buoys or similar offshore structures is advantageous.
- Strong technical drawing skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of drafting techniques, standards, and best practices relevant to SPM Buoy design.
- Understanding of design principles and engineering concepts specific to SPM Buoys.
- Familiarity with naval architecture and marine engineering principles, particularly related to SPM Buoy design, is preferred.
- GCC Market is Preferable
- Ability to interpret and translate design concepts into comprehensive and precise drawings for SPM Buoys.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams involved in SPM Buoy projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in the context of SPM Buoy design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions specific to SPM Buoy design challenges.
- Microsoft Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Very Good Command of written and spoken English.
