We are working with a Major Oil & Gas LNG Operator in Qatar to source a Construction Project Lead that will be reporting to Project Division Manager Project Pipelines.

Title: Construction Project Lead
Start Date: ASAP – Start date is negotiable once selected for position given 30-day notice period.
Duration: 36 Months – extendable.
Location: Onshore – Offshore Project
Working Schedule: Work hours per day: 10 hrs./day - Workdays per Week: 6 days/week - Workday per Month: 26 days/month.
Job Purpose
- Responsible for supervising the construction activities of Project Offshore Pipelines & Cables Project, including coordination of all technical interface requirements for construction and installation activities, to ensure timely approvals are obtained from relevant authorities, Third Party Operators and interface projects. Supervise all onshore construction and offshore installation scopes, including work preparation, identifying main risks and proposing early mitigation until completion of the construction and installation scope. To ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope, schedule and to the highest quality standards applicable.
- Manage all construction site activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
- Supervise the Pipelines & Cables onshore construction activities and beach pull, cable landing and valve stations per the project milestones.
- Interfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.
Required Qualification And Experience
- Engineering Degree or similar, relevant experience may be taken if coupled with HNC/HND.
- 10 years’ experience in construction with at least 8 years demonstrated at a senior construction level in major capital pipeline & cable projects within the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of onshore and Offshore pipelines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
