Job Purpose This position is accountable for leveraging transportation management knowledge and expertise to effectively execute the delivery of turbomachinery products from various points of origin to customer locations across the world. Dimensions . Project Spend: Administers execution of logistic projects with spend ranging from $100K to $2 million per project. . Workload: Provides administrative support for logistics projects of peers. Manages multiple assignments with urgent deadlines. Executes Bill-of-Lading transaction volumes in excess of 500 per year. . Impact: Project execution failure would significantly impact customer satisfaction.
Nature and Scope The Logistics Specialist I role reports to the Manager, Shipping & Logistics. The role manages all aspects of the logistics function necessary to ensure cost effective, high quality transportation, and timely delivery of material. The actions of the incumbent are controlled by policies and procedures as well as federal regulations and international laws and regulations. The position major functions include: -Administration of logistics transactions for a wide range of logistics projects -Coordination with logistics suppliers for processing of invoices -Ensuring proper documentation for shipments -Auditing invoices -Participating in problem solving efforts

- Export Packer coordination
- Project Tracking
- Invoice management & administration
Qualifications: .Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field or 2 to 3 years of related logistics experience instead of a degree. .Some working knowledge of worldwide Logistics practices and procedures .Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions .Experience in continuous process improvement methodologies .Planning and organizational skills .Strong interpersonal / communication skills
