Assistant Retail Manager (ARM) is essentially second in command in DTF.
He provides an extra pair of eyes in the store. He functions as a communication liaison between the General Manager and DTF team.
He takes on a variety of responsibilities:
Sales
- Be able to sell well and encourage others to do the same Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
- Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the
- store
- Analyze the management sales reports and share insights/feedback
Supervision
- Direct employees, delegating tasks, assign duties to DIF sales team Supervise your team performance and oversee sales, motivate them towards maximum performance
- Counsel sales staff who are unreliable, failing to perform, stealing, or otherwise not complying with company policies and procedures
- Ensure good receiving of the stock from the warehouse and merchandising products
- Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking through effective communication with the GM
- Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times
Reporting
- Communicate effectively with the General Manger
- Meeting with the GM twice a month (every Tuesday of every other week at Downtown offices) to discuss all aspects of this document
- Report to the management any necessary follow-up re customer issues / staff issues
- Develop strategies to meet sales targets and plan promotions to attract business Collect customer feedback an identifying problems/patterns
- Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities
Administration
- Checking and replying to the GM emails
- Interacting with PAC management when needed
- Assist GM with the seasonal buying / flexible to travel for the buying sessions when needed
- Advise GM about slow moving / obsolete stock and ways of liquidate
- Oversee and ensure compliance of all staff with established company policies
- Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centered on holiday sales
- Provide customer service and interact with customers who have an issue or need high-level support with a purchase or return
Operations
- Conduct weekly sales meetings discussing the shop Actual sales vs. Monthly sales targets
- Maintain the store and monitor security
- Delegate some tasks, such as cleaning duties or stock replenishment, to associates Coordinate the flow of goods from the stock room to the sales floor, and do merchandise replenishment
- Adjust the store layout to display in-demand items
- Assist the store team in maintaining housekeeping standards and store's visual objectives by straightening merchandise and assisting in fixture and floor changes
- Screen, hire and evaluate the performance of employees
Skills
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm (flexibility is entitled to you according to seasonal traffic / work load
