The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial activities, accounts payable, account reconciliations and will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, audit and tax.
Responsibilities
- Document financial transactions by entering account information.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Ensure proper and historical documentation is maintained for all data entries and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with year-end closings.
- Provide information and supporting documentation to auditors during audits, ensuring all queries are addressed according to company policies.
- Review all invoices exempted from sales tax, cheques, and vouchers.
- Categorize revenues, costs of sales, and general expenses to identify taxable and exempted income.
- Liaise with senior accountant and tax consultant to finalize income tax and avoid penalties.
- Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Fluency in English Language
