We are looking for a
Offshore QC Supervisor STR/PVV Night for one of our clients with the following details:
Duration: 18 Months
Location: Doha, Resident
Qualification And Experience Required
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering discipline. Experience in similar position (years): mini 10 years.
- As a minimum, job holders must have extensive hands-on technical, project quality control and supervisory experience gained in an Oil & Gas Construction environment (Construction, Engineering, etc...).
- Good knowledge of the industrial context, contract practice and Oil & Gas operations in general. Good sense of team spirit leadership, strong interpersonal and soft communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
- Fluent in English - Both verbal and written
Activities
Missions;
Responsible for preparation and quality controlling the construction activities to the works related to DBN PWM, including HSE:
- To ensure compliance with HSE legislation, Company standards and procedures as they apply to project management and project engineering to ensure employee safety and legislative compliance.
- To ensure compliance with Company Management System and applicable International Standards.
- To participate in the risk analysis as required to ensure safe and timely execution of the works.
- To conduct daily safety tours, tool box talk audits and ensures all safety issues are reported through site management in a timely manner.
- Delivers onshore construction projects, ensuring that no additional remedial work is required. Scope and development:
- Ensure that the resources and organization from CONTRACTOR are adequate with regards to the workload related to quality control on Piping and Structural activities,
- Ensure that all required inspections, audits or equipment certification required are performed in time and that all corrective action plan is properly implemented by CONTRACTOR;
- Ensure the timely completion of the works and monitor closely CONTRACTOR performance, work schedule and progress;
- Implement the weekly/monthly Offshore progress for Quality Control aspects;
- Liaise with EPCIC CONTRACTOR Third Party for Control implementation
- Centralize all the Quality documentation produced offshore and ensure follow up and traceability,
- Inspect EPCIC CONTRACTOR material
- Ensure EPCIC CONTRACTOR personnel training and qualification compared to the activities to be performed,
- Participate on request to Construction / SITE meetings with CONTRACTOR/SUBCONTRACTORS;
- Participate on request in the regular HSE Committee meetings & Safety Tours;
- Ensure all construction/fabrication documents are verified and compliant to technical requirements;
- Ensure that all installation steps, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are properly completed,
- Report on regular basis about installation efficiency, and potential drifts on quality, planning and/or cost.
- Provide Quality Control indicators and remedial actions to ensure quality efficiency
- Ensure that uncompleted activities are properly tracked and recorded under the punch list system;
- Propose actions plan and corrective actions for any deficiency, anomaly or non-compliance.
- Stop the work when necessary & report immediately to CSR/HSE Superintend any anomaly, violation & unsafe practice;
- Maintain good relationships with CONTRACTOR, but being strict to achieve the project objectives.
- Carry out any other duties/projects may be assigned by the hierarchy.
