Key Accountabilities
- Provide petrophysical input during well planning (i.e., provide logging program for pre-drill documentation package and identify potential logging hazards, etc) for the Well Planning team to contribute to maintaining the safety and effectiveness of drilling activities.
- Perform quicklook formation evaluation to support real-time decision making from open and cased hole logs. Maintain and file accurate and verified petrophysical well records and update the Petroleum Database (Techlog Stuido).
- Provide input for the selection of perforation and testing intervals in liaison with Geologists and Petroleum Engineers.
- Evaluate findings; interpret petrophysical results; prepares reports and meet quality standards.
- Generate Petrophysical models using Techlog to provide fully integrated quicklook quality interpretations to support rig and rigless (surveillance) operations.
- Provide operational and technical support for Logging Operations including Eline/LWD open-hole, ELine/LWD formation pressure testing, production logging (PLT), fluid saturation surveillance (RST), downhole corrosion surveillance and Cement Evaluation Logging acquisition programs and data analysis for drilling and well/reservoir surveillance programs.
- Review and compile well histories integrating all subsurface data from drilling, completing, stimulation, petrophysics interpretation, production and surveillance.
- Provide written input for pre-drill and post-drill well reports for internal and shareholders use.
- Monitor vendor progress, QC product and check invoices for any variances or discrepancies.
Qualifications
Person Specification – Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geoscience or Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 7 years’ industry experience.
- Completed key fundamental/introductory technical training. specific to his/her area of expertise.
- Carbonate reservoirs
Technical and Business Skills
- Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
- Competent in computer skills in commonly used software (Microsoft Suite, etc) as well as job-related computer skills (e.g., Techlog and Emeraude or their equivalents).
- Competent in his/her area of expertise (e.g., within execution of openhole/cased hole wireline logging program).
