Overview

Under the supervision of the Transportation Motor Pool -TMP Lead. The TMP Dispatcher is responsible for providing excellent external and internal customer service to V2X customers. Maintains a system of record for gathering information to update fleet inventory vehicles and Material Handling Equipment-“MHE” and service records by ensuring that outgoing odometer mileage, destination, and estimated time of return as required, odometer mileage, return dates and time, information from vehicle users, and other observable necessary maintenance and repair work are recorded. Monitors actual release, return and accountability of fleet vehicles and MHE to ascertain the current location and user of each vehicle and MHE by maintaining a standard system of recording. This includes but not all encompassing: Dispatch, Vendor exchange, Purchase request, Purchase order, works with V2X Property team to ensure proper tag and un-tagging. Ensures employees have all license, Home country, International, Permits in accordance with policy and procedures of V2X. Schedules servicing of fleet vehicles including lubrication, oil and filter changes, body and engine repair, tires, necessary warranty work, and cleaning of vehicles to insure efficient and sound operating condition by calling the desired place of service and making an appointment for the necessary service work and/or assigning such work to appropriate employees within the agency. Determines vehicle service needs and writes maintenance repair orders for fleet and workspaces as required.Works daily in Maximo and or other system of record to order and issue parts and supplies to mechanics and other company employees for repair work. Verifies all billings from vendors for services provided, received and/or work performed.

Responsibilities

  • Functions primarily as dispatcher for all fleet vehicles and MHE, is responsible for receiving, recording, and effectively managing requests for TMP Lead / leadership.
  • Responsible for ordering parts and supplies for TMP assigned
  • Responsible for coordination with Property Team when leased equipment is added or removed from fleet to ensure proper tagging and un-tagging for 100 percent
  • Update information on dispatch board.
  • Daily reports as required by TMP leadership and management with 100 percent accuracy.
  • 100 percent accountability of all assigned vehicles and
  • Perform other duties as

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must provide a copy of the diploma.
  • Skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly by email, telephone, Teams, and WhatsApp.
  • Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
  • Visual Acuity
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Working Conditions
  • The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
