It works to uphold the rights and choices of women, girls and young people across more than 150 countries. UNFPA aims to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person can fulfil their potential.</p><p><br></p><p>The challenges are immense: Almost half of all pregnancies are unintended, one in three women faces physical or sexual violence, and every two minutes a woman or girl dies from causes related to pregnancy or childbirth, most of them preventable. UNFPA tackles these issues head-on, reaching millions of women, girls and young people every year with vital information about their bodies and rights, essential health services, and protection from violence.</p><p><br></p><p>Only when every person can access accurate information, quality care, and the freedom to make choices about their bodies safely and with dignity can they realize their full potential, and help shape a better future for all.</p><p><br></p><p>Context</p><p><br></p><p>Operating in Tunisia since 1974, the UNFPA- United Nations Population Fund is the UN's sexual and reproductive health agency. UNFPA’s mandate is to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. In Tunisia, UNFPA works closely with the government and civil society to expand access to high-quality sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights (SRHR), eliminate gender-based violence (GBV), support data-driven population dynamics (such as utilizing data from the general population census), and empower young people.</p><p><br></p><p>This UNV assignment is an integral part of UNFPA Tunisia’s communication strategy. The mission focuses on UNFPA mandat y by transforming strategic proposals into clear, accessible visual content. By building creative narratives around population dynamics and human rights, this role ensures the community and decision-makers are informed and engaged.</p><p><br></p><p>This volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia as part of an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program to enhance youth inclusion, with a focus on the inclusion of young people with disabilities (2024-2026). Therefore, applications from young people with disabilities who meet the required qualifications are strongly encouraged.</p><p>Task description</p><p>1. Support to Audiovisual Production</p><p><br></p><p>The UN Volunteer will contribute to the production of audiovisual content aimed at showcasing UNFPA’s activities and results through:</p><p><br></p><p>Supporting the capture of photos, videos, and audio content during events, workshops, field missions, interviews, and other programme activities;</p><p>Assisting in the preparation and organization of filming and photo sessions;</p><p>Supporting the editing and production of short and long-form video content for digital platforms, communication campaigns, and institutional products;</p><p>Contributing to the selection, organization, and processing of audiovisual materials produced;</p><p>Assisting in the preparation, setup, and proper functioning of audiovisual equipment during communication activities.</p><p><br></p><p>2. Support to Graphic Design and Visual Communication</p><p><br></p><p>The UN Volunteer will contribute to the creation of engaging visual materials in line with UNFPA branding through:</p><p><br></p><p>Assisting in the design of printed and digital communication materials (posters, brochures, leaflets, banners, presentations, roll-ups, etc.);</p><p>Participating in the creation of visuals for social media and awareness campaigns;</p><p>Contributing to the development of simple illustrations, visual animations, or graphic content to enhance audience engagement;</p><p>Supporting the visualization of data, statistics, and key information into clear and accessible infographics;</p><p>Ensuring compliance with UNFPA branding standards and communication guidelines across all outputs.</p><p><br></p><p>3. Support to Communication Resource Management</p><p><br></p><p>The UN Volunteer will support the organization and management of communication resources through:</p><p><br></p><p>Contributing to the organization, classification, and archiving of photos, videos, and other multimedia resources;</p><p>Supporting the updating of digital content libraries to ensure easy access and use;</p><p>Participating in the management and tracking of audiovisual equipment inventory under the supervision of the communication team.</p><p><br></p><p>4. Support to Institutional Communication Activities</p><p><br></p><p>The UN Volunteer will contribute to UNFPA visibility and communication efforts through:</p><p><br></p><p>Supporting media and audiovisual coverage of organizational activities and events;</p><p>Assisting in the preparation and dissemination of content across communication channels;</p><p>Participating in the identification and promotion of stories, testimonials, and best practices from programme activities;</p><p>Performing any other related tasks within their area of responsibility as assigned by the supervisor.</p><p><br></p><p>Application deadline is on 10 August 2026</p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2>
